Licensed Clinical Social Worker
About Me
Since 1990, I have practiced in the modalities of individual, couples, family counseling and yoga therapy. I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor and have maintained a thriving private psychotherapy practice in Rye Brook, New York for over 25 years specializing in depression, generalized anxiety and social anxiety disorders. I have written articles and provided expert commentary to leading news organizations such as The New York TImes, News 12, WVOX, Westchester Parents, NY Metro Parents and Westchester Family and I have lectured at schools in Westchester and Fairfield counties. As the mother of four children, I experience firsthand how the multitude of interconnecting relationships and stresses affect the emotional health of individuals and families. As a result, in my work, I make every effort to gain as much insight into the root causes of the problems facing my clients.
Choosing a therapist and a treatment style can be difficult. The relationship established with the treating therapist is as important as the therapeutic style. Through trust and connection with the therapist, clients are able to begin the process of self-reflection, self-revelation and healing.
